Massage is a great way to keep athletes conditioned, prevent injuries, improve flexibility, help reduce inflammation, relax the athlete, and flush out lactic acid. Many elite athletic teams and individual athletes regularly receive massage therapy. Almost all teams have a full-time athletic therapist on their staff.
